• Hairy Crab - Mid-Autumn Festival is the harvest season for hairy crabs, hence they are commonly served in South China, where they grow. Gucheng, Taihu, Yangcheng, etc., have the most famous hairy crabs. Most people steam them.
• Duck - In the dry autumn, a duck helps to keep the lungs and throat moist. Ducks in the eighth lunar month, after more than half a year of growing, are the best tasting since they are neither too plump nor too lean.
